SoulKids® what can we learn from Chinese New Year?

Chinese New Year has arrived and Celebrations are well under way, so SoulKids® what can we learn from these fabulous festivities?

• At SoulKids® we love RED. We see lots of red during Chinese New Year because it is thought to be a lucky colour and brings lots of positive energy to the world.

• Chinese New Year is a time for being with your family. So give your family lots of extra SoulKids® HUGS!! 

• Children receive lucky red packets called ‘Hong Bao’ inside they will find sweets or money. Often we forget how much fun it is to give! Giving and receiving material gifts or gifts of wisdom makes everyone feel happy and positive. So lets continue to give as we go through the year – even a smile and a thank-you is a form of giving. So try it each and every day.

• There are spectacular Dragon Dances and Lion Dances during Chinese New Year. SoulKids® these dances only work if the dancers work as a TEAM!

This Chinese Lunar New Year we welcome the year of the GOAT, have you seen our blog on things we can learn from the Goat?

The GOAT year is here!

SoulKids® is excited to welcome in the Goat year for 2015.

It's already becoming an exciting year as Mr Vikas himself is starting to look like a Goat with his new beard.

Can you spot which one he is from the images below?

With the New Year and new energies, we all have to become Guru Goats!

This means we take the wisdom (like a Guru) from the personality and life of a Goat and apply it to our lives.

So a few things that we will be learning for sure in 2015:

•    Team work – Goats love to be in teams and achieving more by working with others.
•    Resilience – Goats never give up – they keep on going.
•    Goats are very intelligent – so lets learn NEW things.
•    Leadership – there is always one Goat who takes the lead and does it well.
•    Explore and do new things – so make sure you come to SoulKids® NEW programs in 2015.
